Film Sound Optical Transfers

From: 16 or 35 MAG or Optical, 24 Trk., 1/4" 2 Trk., DAT, DA-88, CD, computer digital audio formats

To: 16 or 35mm Optical Sound

Time Cost: $135/hr. (In 1/4 hr. increments, 1/2 hr. minimum)

Stock Cost: 35mm - $0.65/foot (In 100 foot increments, 500 foot minimum)
16mm - $0.43/foot (In 100 foot increments, 100 foot minimum)

Processing: Included in price of stock

Deliveries: Local to Neg. Processing lab $20.

Notes: If the sound master is on digital media (e.g. DAT, DA-88, CD, Computer Files etc.)
We prefer SMPTE Time Code NDF 29.97.
On all formats, an audio head two-beep is mandatory, a tail two-beep suggested, that match visual marks on your picture.  We suggest that you supply at least one reel of film picture cutting copy, or answer print, for sync checking. Let us know if you need a Video Speed correction (if working to 29.97 or 23.876 fps video) Please allow enough lead time from your completion date for x-mod tests with the print lab.


Film Optical Sound Positive Transfers to .WAV

Time Cost: $100/hr. (In 1/4 hr. increments, 1/2 hr. minimum)

(to transfer film optical sound negatives, they will need to be printed first, at extra cost)


Magnetic Film Transfers 35mm Mono, 3 Track, 4 Track or 16mm to .WAV

Time Cost: $100/hr. (In 1/4 hr. increments)


Magnetic Film Transfers 35mm IMAX (6 Track) to .WAV

Time Cost: $125/hr. (In 1/4 hr. increments, 1/2 hr. minimum)


Transfers to 35mm or 16mm Magnetic Film

Time Cost: $100/hr. (In 1/4 hr. increments)

Stock Cost: 35mm full coat or stripe mag. - $0.20/foot (100 foot minimum)
16mm - $0.15/foot (100 foot minimum)
